In short
Bright Sprouts Academy offers ACT preparation in London and online for students applying to US universities. The ACT is scored from 1 to 36. Since the test was updated in 2025, the composite score is based on English, Maths and Reading, and the Science section is optional. Our lead educator studied at Columbia University. Lessons cover content, timing strategy and full-length practice tests, and we help students decide whether the ACT or the SAT suits them better.

Exam technique
Timed practice, mark-scheme wording and error logs turn understanding into marks under exam conditions.

FAQ
ACT tuition: FAQs
Should UK students take the ACT or the SAT?
US universities accept either test equally. Students who work quickly and prefer direct questions often do better on the ACT. Students who prefer fewer, more reasoning-heavy questions often prefer the SAT. A diagnostic test of each is the best way to decide.
Is the ACT Science section still required?
Since the 2025 update, Science is optional and not included in the composite score. A few universities or programmes may still want it, so check your target universities' policies.
What is a good ACT score for top US universities?
For the most selective US universities, admitted students commonly score 33–36. Check each university's published middle-50% ranges, because they vary by college.
Are lessons online or in person?
Both. We teach in person in London and online for students anywhere in the UK. Online lessons use a shared digital whiteboard, so working is visible step by step, and every session can be recorded for revision.
Do you offer one-to-one tuition or small groups?
Both. One-to-one tuition is fully tailored to the student. Small groups are capped at six students so that every student still gets individual feedback.
How do we get started?
Book a free consultation. We discuss the student's school, exam board, current grades and target, then recommend a plan. Most students begin with a diagnostic assessment so that lessons focus on real gaps rather than topics they already know.
