AP (Advanced Placement) tuition: FAQs
Do UK universities accept AP scores?
Yes, many do. Requirements vary, but competitive courses often ask for three or more AP exams at grade 5 in relevant subjects, usually alongside a high school diploma and sometimes SAT or ACT scores. Check each university's international entry requirements.
Can I self-study an AP exam?
Yes. Students can register to sit AP exams through an authorised test centre even if their school doesn't teach the course. We can teach the full course and prepare students for the exam.
Is AP Calculus BC equivalent to A-Level Maths?
They overlap a lot in calculus, but A-Level Maths also includes Statistics and Mechanics, and BC goes further in some calculus topics. Universities treat them as different qualifications.
Are lessons online or in person?
Both. We teach in person in London and online for students anywhere in the UK. Online lessons use a shared digital whiteboard, so working is visible step by step, and every session can be recorded for revision.
Do you offer one-to-one tuition or small groups?
Both. One-to-one tuition is fully tailored to the student. Small groups are capped at six students so that every student still gets individual feedback.
