Our approach
How we teach
Diagnose first
Every student starts with a diagnostic assessment, so lessons focus on the specific gaps that are costing marks.
Board-specific practice
We teach to your exam board's specification and use its own past papers, mark schemes and examiner reports.
Exam technique
Timed practice, mark-scheme wording and error logs turn understanding into marks under exam conditions.
How it works
From first call to exam day
01
Free consultation
We discuss school, exam board, current grades, target universities and timelines.
02
Diagnostic assessment
A short diagnostic shows exactly where marks are being lost.
03
Personal plan
A tutor and a plan are matched to the student's goals: 1:1 or a small group, in London or online.
04
Lessons & progress reports
Weekly lessons, timed practice and regular updates for parents.
FAQ
A-Level Computer Science tuition: FAQs
Do I need to know how to code before starting A-Level Computer Science?
It helps but is not essential. We can bring beginners up to speed in Python quickly, then build towards the algorithmic thinking that the exams and the NEA require.
Can you help with the Computer Science NEA?
We can teach the skills and techniques the project needs, help students choose a project of suitable complexity and explain the mark scheme. Under JCQ rules the code and write-up must be the student's own work.
Is Further Maths useful for Computer Science applications?
Yes. Many top Computer Science courses require A-Level Maths and value Further Maths. Some also use the TMUA or MAT admissions tests.
Are lessons online or in person?
Both. We teach in person in London and online for students anywhere in the UK. Online lessons use a shared digital whiteboard, so working is visible step by step, and every session can be recorded for revision.
Do you offer one-to-one tuition or small groups?
Both. One-to-one tuition is fully tailored to the student. Small groups are capped at six students so that every student still gets individual feedback.
How do we get started?
Book a free consultation. We discuss the student's school, exam board, current grades and target, then recommend a plan. Most students begin with a diagnostic assessment so that lessons focus on real gaps rather than topics they already know.
